Rap superstar 50 CENT has vowed to sit back and relax after the release of his forthcoming album - he will only return to the music scene when he is "missed" by the public.
The In Da Club hitmaker will release his fourth album, Before I Self Destruct, this December (08), and it will be his penultimate disc for his label Interscope Records.
Plans are currently afoot for a greatest hits collection, which will complete his five-album deal with the firm, leaving him a free agent.
And the star - real name Curtis Jackson - reveals he will be taking it easy once he has fulfilled the terms of his contract, emulating his mentors Eminem and Dr. Dre and only releasing "masterpiece" LPs.
He says, "The luxury that Eminem and Dr. Dre have now, I'll soon have. I'll only be putting out music when I have a masterpiece ready.
"But those guys are ready to put out their masterpieces very soon. Eminem's album is going to blow people away... Like him, I'll only be coming back when people miss me."
Eminem is currently recording tracks for the follow up to 2004's Encore, while superproducer Dr. Dre is putting the finishing touches to his highly-anticipated LP Detox - only his third solo album to date and the first since the 1999 release of 2001
